500 ferocious watts and a tube preamp in a compact head. Maintaining the size of the original Tiny Terror, the Terror Bass from Orange Amplifiers is a 500W hybrid bass amp head with a Class D solid-state power section and the AD200B twin-tube 12AX7 preamp.

This Orange bass amp’s diminutive size is quite deceiving, especially considering that underneath its sturdy and appealing housing lies an unbelievable 500 watts of class-D solid-state power, paired with a twin tube preamp. The result is a crushing bass power and tone that has put Orange bass amplifiers in a class of their own. The amplifier head features switchable impedance of 4 or 8 ohm, and includes volume, bass, middle, treble, gain, and active/passive switch for further control of your bass tone.

Orange Terror Bass 500 Amp Head

The Orange Terror Bass head is back and it sounds better than ever. With a valve preamp and a 500W Class D solid state power amp, the all-new Terror Bass sounds closer to their flagship AD200 than ever before.

Though the circuit is completely new, the Terror Bass retains the control layout from the original amp, with the addition of a Clean switch. This reduces gain and smoothes the top-end, giving this super-simple amp an even greater range of tones than its predecessor. From clean Pop sounds through to gritty Rock crunch, the Terror Bass can do it all. There’s also a -6dB pad switch, meaning active and passive instruments are equally well catered for.

The Terror bass uses a lightweight and efficient Class D power amp, with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms. Coupled with the Balanced XLR output and valve-driven FX Loop, the Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether it’s the studio, rehearsal or a life on the road.

Weighing in at just over 11 lb., the Orange Bass Terror is a leader in ultra-compact and portable bass power. Its size makes this bass amp head ideal for traveling musicians. Take it on the bus, subway, in a backpack, or on a bike to that gig, and rock out knowing the sound from this little Orange bass amp head is loud, and proud, and pumps out incredible tone. Includes padded gig bag.

Note: The Bass Terror bass amp head does not require rebiasing when replacing tubes.

Closely Based on the AD200 Bass Amplifier

The preamp section of the Terror Bass is the same valve design as used in the flagship Orange bass amp, the AD200. Just like its all-valve bigger brother, the Terror Bass is a classic, uncomplicated amplifier, designed to give you the best tone.

Class D Power Amplifier

The Terror bass is a 500 Watt hybrid amplifier with a valve preamp and a Class D, solid state power section. All-analogue valve tone in a portable, compact lunchbox head.

Clean Switch

Drive and grit not your thing? Get a crystal clean tone at the flick of a switch.

Pad for Active Basses

The pad switch on the front of the Terror Bass reduces input sensitivity by 6dB, optimising the amp for active or passive basses.

FX Loop

The valve-driven FX loop on the Terror Bass is the perfect tool for creating your ideal signal chain.

Ground Lift

Eliminates any ground loop noise when using the Balanced Output.
