Whether you play chunk rhythm, fingerstyle, or bottleneck slide, you’ll love the all-mahogany Gretsch G9240 Alligator Biscuit Round-neck resonator guitar. With deluxe appointments, the Gretsch G9240 Resonator projects its distinctively swampy tone all the way to the back door of any dancehall.

Resonator guitars are truly a uniquely American innovation. They were first developed in the 1920s to accompany the much-louder horn instruments in popular ensembles of the time. Remember, there weren’t any amplifiers back then!
