Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured Electric Guitar

The Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured introduces several enhancements that musicians have widely embraced. One key feature is its lightweight mahogany body. This design choice significantly reduces shoulder strain, making the guitar more comfortable to play for extended periods. Complementing the body is the SlimTaper neck, which facilitates smooth and effortless playability.

The guitar also boasts a compound radius ebony fretboard. This design ensures comfort near the nut, while allowing for easy playability higher up the neck. Gibson has re-engineered the traditional Les Paul neck heel, contouring it to provide better access to the higher frets. This redesign makes reaching those upper notes more convenient for players.

In terms of hardware, the Les Paul Modern Figured includes Grover locking Rotomatic tuners. These tuners enhance tuning stability, which is crucial for maintaining pitch accuracy. The guitar also features clear Top Hat knobs, which add a classic aesthetic touch. Additionally, it is equipped with Burstbucker Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups. These pickups offer a wide range of tonal possibilities.

The controls of the Les Paul Modern are particularly versatile. It includes four push-pull pots that allow players to switch between Gibson humbucker and single-coil P-90 sounds. These pickup configurations have been influential in shaping many music genres across different eras. The control setup also includes options for phase switching and pure bypass, providing even more sonic variety.
