At the center of the PX-360MB is the Color Touch Interface. It is a bright, clear 5.3" display that has a full color palette and responds immediately to your touch. With this intuitive panel, you can explore the PX-360 with ease, with all the right information at your fingertips. The elegant, simple interface uses universally recognizable icons that help you take full advantage of the PX-360’s diverse sounds and features.

New AiR Sound Source airLogo

At the heart of the PX-360 is the AiR (Acoustic Intelligent Resonator) sound source. Faithfully reproducing the sound of a 9-foot concert grand piano, the AiR sound source also incorporates every possible detail within the piano sound. Casio’s Linear Morphing technology ensures the smoothest possible curve in dynamics, from the quietest pianissimo right through to the loudest fortissimo. The Key-Off simulator allows you to control the length of the note decay by the speed at which notes are released.

String Resonance

The sound produced by an acoustic piano is not only the sound associated with the individual keys that are struck. Other strings with frequencies closely associated with those producing the sounds will resonate as well, adding to the overall sound and giving the music a uniquely rich resonance. The new AiR sound source reproduces this resonance naturally through the use of a stereo resonance simulator for all 88 keys. The resonance created from using the damper pedal is also reproduced naturally across all 88 keys. When using the optional SP-33 pedal board, a continuously variable damper system reproduces even the subtle changes in reverberation that occur in response to delicate pressure changes applied to the damper pedal. The resonance system allows players to perform with an unprecedented amount of expressive detail.

Grand Sound System

The chassis has been redesigned not only to provide a more elegant look but also to accommodate a new 8w x 8w speaker system, which delivers the PX-160's remarkable sounds with the richness that they deserve. This speaker system is open to the front but also ported to the back, which provides remarkable sound when the PX-160 is placed against a wall. This also allows it to easily be used in a classroom or other environment where the sound will be projected towards the audience.

Amazing New Sounds

The PX-360 also features newly developed string ensemble sounds. These rich stereo strings sound wonderful by themselves or layered with the PX-160's grand pianos, electric pianos, harpsichord and more. The electric pianos have also been updated providing some dynamic sounds derived from Casio's award winning PX-5S stage piano. The PX-160 provides split and layer capability allowing you to play bass in your left hand and have two layered tones in your right. Duet mode allows the keyboard to be split into two equal ranges, so the student and teacher can use the piano simultaneously. A two track recorder can even record and playback your practice and performances. The optional CS-67 stand puts the PX-160 at the proper height and the optional SP-33 pedal system provides the same 3 pedal functionality as a grand piano.

Full Colour Touch InterfaceTouch Screen

Navigating the PX360 is a breeze with the new Colour Touch Interface. The 5.3-inch full colour touch screen responds immediately to your touch, incorporating familiar icon styles and gestures such as swipe. The intuitive touch screen3ensures every function, from choosing tones and rhythms, to effects and recording are always right at your fingertips.

Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II

The PX-360 utilizes Casio's famous Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard. This action features new simulated Ebony and Ivory textured keys for an incredible feel and its three sensors capture the dynamics of a performance with unparalleled speed and accuracy. Casio's proprietary Hammer Response feature takes into consideration the speed at which different sized hammers move inside an acoustic grand piano relative to the velocity the keys are played. This timing nuance provides the ultimate key-to-sound experience that is unmatched by the standard actions of other brands.
