Pratley Josh Teskey Signature Model JTC-SNCE-BW/QF Acoustic/Electric Guitar
The Pratley Josh Teskey Signature model guitar was developed over several years of collaboration with Josh. Inspired by vintage guitars from the 1940’s, the body shape is Pratley’s Concert size. The shape has been modernised and is a smaller full-size guitar (00-000). This size sits nicely in between Mini and OM sizes and is great for blues, country, folk, and finger style playing. Josh’s signature model boasts an increased body depth. measuring 120mm at the lower bout.
The beautifully figured Queensland Blue Fig top is minimalist with no rosette, so it allows the natural grain to stand out. The headstock has a book-matched cap of feature grade Tasmanian blackwood and gold tuning machines. Being reminiscent of the brass materials that he worked with in his trade as a plumber, Josh especially chose the gold hardware. Finally, the unique Victorian Ash fretboard inlay is a copy of Josh’s arm tattoo. This timber grows near his home and symbolises the location of his Half Mile Harvest studio in relation to the great Yarra River. The tattoo inlay was the initial inspiration for this special guitar, which was first discussed between Martin Pratley and Josh in the back room of a Brisbane concert hall in late 2019.
Josh has already used this amazing sounding guitar to write new songs for the Teskey Brothers band.
